Paul Allen Mills dies in fatal FM 2090 car crash
Fatal FM 2090 car crash death of Paul Allen Mills
Fire department personnel responded to the scene around 7:30 pm Sunday evening after a collision was reported on FM 2090. They found one male on the ground, with another male administering CPR. State Police and MCSO arrived shortly after. Tragically, the individual did not survive the incident.
According to State Police, a man in his late 50s was driving a golf cart from the 12000 block of Crockett Martin. He apparently ran out of fuel while partially crossing the moving traffic lanes, with the vehicle lacking lights or reflectors. The driver of a Ford F-150, who was eastbound and had five children in the vehicle, stated the lighting conditions were poor due to the time of day, and they did not see the stationary golf cart. The male victim was standing in front of the golf cart when the F-150 struck it. The truck driver immediately stopped, removed the victim from under the cart, and began performing CPR.
Investigators determined that excessive speed was not a contributing factor to the collision. The golf cart involved did not have lighting or reflectors installed. The victim, identified as a resident of the area, was transported to the Montgomery County Forensic Center for an autopsy. The accident scene was cleared around 10:30 pm Sunday evening. Shortly after, dispatchers were sent to address another fatal crash on SH 242.
