On October 10th, authorities confirmed the identity of the individual killed in the Highway 55 collision, thanks to the work of the Saskatchewan Coroners Service. The deceased is identified as Courtnall Flett, a 30-year-old resident of Shoal Lake Cree Nation, who had been reported missing to the Nipawin RCMP earlier. Family members have been informed, and support services are being offered to them.

Courtnall Flett was last observed in the Nipawin region on the morning of October 2. He was spotted in attire including a black and blue sweater, a toque, and black sweatpants, with brown eyes noted.
