Fatal Tuscaloosa County blunt force trauma death of Michael Lee Jordan
Investigators are seeking public assistance following the discovery of a 55-year-old man deceased beside his motorcycle on a Tuscaloosa County roadway.
The victim has been identified as Michael Lee Jordan. His demise has been categorized as suspicious by authorities.
Law enforcement activities commenced at 5 a.m. on Wednesday when volunteer fire department personnel and Tuscaloosa County sheriff deputies were dispatched to the 15000 Block of Sylvan Loop Road in the Fosters Community.
An individual encountered the motorcycle, positioned on its kickstand, situated near the roadside. Jordan was found lying adjacent to the motorcycle.
Tuscaloosa County’s Violent Crimes Unit Captain Jack Kennedy indicated that Jordan exhibited no apparent injuries and the motorcycle showed no signs of damage.
According to Captain Kennedy, an autopsy concluded that Jordan’s death resulted from an internal injury induced by some form of blunt force trauma.
“It appears the rider’s helmet likely provided protection, given that the injuries were internal,” the captain remarked.
Citizens who were present in the vicinity of Sylvan Loop Road during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 8, and who might have observed anything connected to the motorcycle and its rider, or possess any additional information regarding the incident, are urged to reach out to investigators via the provided contact number.
