Fatal Lawrenceville shooting deaths of Rachel Free and Embrey Watson
A Wednesday morning incident tied to a household conflict in a Lawrenceville residence concluded with two fatalities. The individuals involved, as per Gwinnett County law enforcement, were Rachel Free, who was 39, and Embrey Watson, aged 51.
Around 9:45 a.m., the pair was discovered deceased in a bedroom located in the 600 block of Clearwater Place, with a weapon present at the scene, as reported by authorities earlier.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Rachel Free was shot by Embrey Watson while she was asleep, and Watson subsequently used the same firearm against himself.
Further analysis is pending, including autopsy results from the medical examiner’s office, and the reasons behind the incident are not yet known.
