Upon their arrival, they observed Robert Adams inside a residence, positioned at a second-story window.
The officers took action against Adams’ behavior, resulting in them discharging their weapons.
A county tactical unit arrived and secured the location with a barricade that remained in place for several hours.
Approximately two hours following the shooting, police entered the house and discovered Adams with gunshot injuries.
Emergency medical services pronounced Adams deceased at the scene.
Two firearms were located inside the house in proximity to the window where Adams was first spotted.
No officers or civilians sustained injuries during the event. Standard procedure dictates that the involved officers are placed on administrative duty.
