Fatal Westlake car crash death of Ethan Bush
Investigators believe two individuals, Tristan Bush, 26, from Lafayette, and the deceased Ethan Bush, from Boyce, were involved in the death of Lawanna J. Lewis. Tristan Bush remains in custody.
A Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office news conference addressed this case on Saturday.
Lawanna J. Lewis, who was 62, was located in a ditch near Trousdale Road by a truck driver delivering goods to Phillips 66. The authorities were informed around midday on Friday. Her identity was confirmed through public assistance.
According to the initial inquiry, she suffered multiple headshots.
Sheriff Stitch Guillory mentioned that the victim operated as a Lyft driver at the time of her death. Her car was taken without authorization and later observed in the Houston region with the accused inside.
Upon arrival, Harris County Sheriff’s Office personnel encountered the suspects fleeing. Tragically, Ethan Bush was involved in a traffic accident and did not survive. Tristan Bush was placed under arrest.
Tristan Bush is facing a second-degree murder accusation. His required financial guarantee for release is set at two and a half million dollars.
