Fatal Youngstown decomposition death of George Westhead
Youngstown Police have officially identified the body found on Thursday as that belonging to George Westhead, who was reported as missing.
A police incident report states that officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Almyra Avenue in Youngstown on Thursday for a report of a discovered corpse located beneath some thorny bushes.
Investigators indicate the remains were identified after an individual cleaning the premises stumbled upon the decomposing body in the backyard area. It remains unclear how long the body had been concealed prior to its discovery.
At present, the cause and method of Westhead’s death have not been determined by the examination so far.
