A young driver lost their life in a serious highway accident on Sunday evening in Nashville. Emergency services were dispatched to the scene on Interstate 40 following reports of the collision.
The 19-year-old individual involved, later identified as Christian Jordan by the Metropolitan Nashville Police force, had recently achieved their motorcycle operator’s permit only three days before the incident occurred. The preliminary notice released by authorities detailed that Jordan was operating a BMW motorcycle and was traveling at a speed exceeding the legal limit when a sudden, unstable, high-speed oscillation developed. This was followed by an abrupt application of the brakes.
Due to the loss of stability and the subsequent emergency stop, the driver was ejected from their vehicle. Medical professionals responding to the scene confirmed that the driver passed away at the crash site. Toxicology tests concluded that there was no evidence of alcohol or other depressant substances affecting the driver’s ability at the time of the collision.
Investigators noted that Jordan had successfully completed the requirements for their motorcycle license just four days earlier, marking the beginning of their journey as a motorcyclist.
