The El Paso County Coroner’s office officially identified the individual who tragically lost their life following a serious vehicle collision in Colorado Springs on Friday evening. The incident happened near the intersection of Uintah Street and 22nd Street at approximately 11:45 p.m.
According to reports from the Colorado Springs Police Department, law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene promptly after being dispatched to the location. Upon their arrival, officers discovered the driver of the vehicle deceased. The coroner’s office confirmed the identity of the deceased as Isai Martinez, a 19-year-old.
Preliminary information from the police indicates that the occupants of the nearby residence were not harmed in this unfortunate event. To manage the situation, Uintah Street was temporarily closed for the duration of the investigation and emergency response, restricting traffic between 21st Street and 23rd Street.
