Fatal Ingleside drive-by shooting death of Alejandro Castaneda
A nineteen-year-old male from Round Lake Beach, who lost his life during a drive-by assault last Friday evening in Ingleside, has been identified as Alejandro Castaneda.
Following the Tuesday examination, the Lake County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Castaneda succumbed to a chest injury inflicted by a bullet.
According to law enforcement officials, Castaneda was present at a birthday gathering situated in the 35700 block of North Wilson Road.
When officers answered a call about gunfire around 11:15 p.m., they discovered Castaneda in the garage area. Regrettably, even with medical intervention, he could not be saved and passed away at the scene, as reported by the police.
Law enforcers stated that a group of individuals arrived at the celebration and initiated an argument with some other guests before exiting. Subsequently, that specific group drove by and commenced firing, which led to Castaneda being struck by a bullet, according to the police.
