Fatal Warren shooting death of Brad M. Bailey

Following a police pursuit that originated in Champion, authorities confirmed the death of Brad M. Bailey after an officer-involved incident on Fourth Street SW in Warren.

Dispatch logs from Trumbull County revealed that Bailey, who is now identified as the suspect, reportedly made threats and attacked a caller to 911 and others inside a property in Bristol Township before escaping the location.

Officials informed dispatch that Bailey was reported to be carrying a weapon and possibly acting on suicidal thoughts.

Patricia Clark, Bailey’s mother, stated that her last conversation with her son occurred on Friday at 10 p.m. She contested reports suggesting Bailey was suicidal, emphasizing, “He was experiencing difficulties, but not to a level where he intended to end his life.”

Clark expressed dissatisfaction with the limited information shared regarding her son’s death. The Trumbull County Sheriff’s office detailed that the situation commenced early Sunday, with law enforcement arriving at 7 a.m. following a chase that started in Champion.

During the investigation, Fourth and Fifth streets were shut down. The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation is conducting a standard review of the officer-involved shooting. Warren and Champion police have not provided additional updates, and the probe is still active.
