The Fayetteville Police Department confirmed Sunday that a man killed by a vehicle collision in Fayetteville Saturday evening has been identified. Authorities reported the incident around 8:10 p.m. Saturday in the area covering Country Club Drive/U.S. 401, situated east of Rosehill Drive.
Upon arrival at the scene, medical responders pronounced the pedestrian deceased. This incident was previously referenced as a pedestrian fatality involving a motor vehicle collision on Country Club Drive in Fayetteville. Fayetteville police identified the deceased man as 61-year-old Charles Aubrey White, a Fayetteville native. The individual driving the car involved in the accident remained at the location.
