Fatal Fayetteville car crash death of Charles Aulbrey White
A person on foot lost their life on Saturday evening in Fayetteville.
Law enforcement personnel arrived at the scene shortly before 8:15 p.m. The incident occurred in the 600 block of Country Club Drive. The individual involved was pronounced deceased at the location where they were found.
According to initial reports from the Fayetteville Police Department, the circumstances suggested the pedestrian exited the roadway and entered the path of an oncoming motor vehicle. The operator of that vehicle then stopped and remained stationary until the arrival of the responding officers.
The individual identified as having passed away is 61-year-old Charles Aulbrey White.
Country Club Drive was temporarily closed for public safety reasons. The closure spanned from Clearwater Drive to Rose Hill Road. Traffic in both directions was halted. The road was reopened approximately one hour after the initial response.
