According to reports from the Montgomery and Warren County officials, a serious accident involving three motor vehicles occurred near the point where Ohio 122 meets Dixie Highway in Middletown on Saturday. Three individuals have sadly lost their lives as a direct result of this incident. Medical personnel confirmed that John Sora, who was 88 years old and a resident of Middletown, did not survive the accident and passed away immediately upon reaching Atrium Medical Center.
Sandra Sora, aged 84, and Katelynn Williams, 33, were airlifted to Miami Valley Hospital using emergency air transport services. However, their injuries were ultimately fatal, resulting in their deaths. The Montgomery County Coroner’s Office reported these unfortunate outcomes.
The collision happened during the evening of Saturday, involving three separate vehicles. The intersection of Ohio 122 and Dixie Highway was temporarily closed to traffic from approximately 8:00 PM until about 11:00 PM on that day, disrupting local movement.
Local law enforcement, specifically the Montgomery Day Police (MDP), is actively examining the scene of the accident. They are working in conjunction with the Butler County Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team (START) to determine the precise causes and contributing factors of this tragic event.
Initial findings suggest that neither driving under the influence nor excessive speed was involved in the accident.
