The deceased is identified as Russell Williams Jr., aged 69, who resided in Harrisburg. The official determination of death was accidental.
Williams was struck by an Amtrak train approximately at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, October 7, located outside the Harrisburg International Airport in Lower Swatara Township.
Amtrak confirms that neither the 35 individuals travelling as passengers nor the crew onboard the train suffered any injuries during the incident.
