Simon Getachew dies in fatal DC shooting
Fatal Southeast DC shooting death of Simon Getachew
Members of the Metropolitan Police Department were directed to the 3800 block of 9th Street shortly after 10:15 p.m. on the 12th of October following a disturbance report at that address.
Upon their arrival, police discovered that Simon Getachew, a 30-year-old resident of the Northwest region, had sustained numerous gunshot injuries and was confirmed deceased by emergency medical services at the scene.
