Damere T. Boddie, aged 31, from Akron, has been confirmed as the individual killed in a shooting incident that took place on October 15th in Goodyear Heights.

According to Gary Guenther, the chief investigator at the Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office, law enforcement received a report about the shooting around 1:55 p.m. It happened at a house located in the 500 block of Mohawk Avenue. Upon their arrival, police found Boddie suffering from a gunshot wound.
He was taken to Summa Health Akron. Regrettably, he did not survive his injuries and passed away later. The medical examiner stated that Boddie’s death resulted from gunshot wounds specifically to the neck area.
Police indicated that a likely vehicle used by the suspect may have fled the scene, heading towards Case Avenue and Newton Street.
Akron police are currently working on this case.
