Fatal Dane County car crash death of James F. Prieve
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office has officially identified the deceased person involved in a motor vehicle incident near the Town of Dane on October 11th. First responders were dispatched to the accident scene on Highway 113 near Lee Road at approximately 6:36 p.m. during the evening hours.
The individual who lost their life in this event was identified as James F. Prieve, who was 69 years old. Law enforcement officials confirm that Prieve did not survive the collision and was pronounced deceased at the exact location where the accident occurred. A medical examination was held on October 12th, and initial findings indicated that Prieve’s death resulted directly from the trauma received during the crash. Further, more comprehensive tests are currently being performed to gather additional evidence.
This unfortunate incident remains under the jurisdiction of the Dane County Sheriff’s Office and the Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office as they continue their official investigation.
