Fatal Waterloo shooting death of Montana Lee Gunhus
Identified by Waterloo Police is the individual who passed away as a result of gunfire, following a disturbance reported early Wednesday morning at 3137 Hammond Avenue. Responding officers arrived around 3:45 a.m. and discovered two persons injured due to bullet wounds.
The deceased, confirmed to be a 39-year-old man, has been identified as Montana Lee Gunhus. The other injured party, a 28-year-old woman, is currently under intensive care because of her critical health status. Law enforcement is appealing to the community for any knowledge of the occurrence to be shared with the Waterloo Police Department or through Cedar Valley Crime Stoppers.
