Vermont authorities reported that on Thursday afternoon, a collision between a car and a motorcycle led to the death of a man from North Adams. The incident happened while troopers were responding to the scene near the intersection of Route 100 and Robillard Road.
According to initial findings and accounts from people who saw the accident, a Jeep Cherokee had pulled onto the highway from a connecting street. This action apparently caused the motorcycle to collide with the driver’s side of the car. The motorcyclist was ejected from his vehicle at the time of impact, and witnesses suggested that excessive speed may have played a role.
The man killed was identified as twenty-year-old Conner Caron, originally from Massachusetts. Police have indicated they are continuing their probe into the circumstances surrounding the incident, which occurred around 3:47 p.m. The Jeep’s driver was not reported to be injured as a result of the collision.
