A Shelby County man lost his life during a weekend shooting incident in Montevallo. The victim, identified by the Shelby County Coroner Lina Evans on Monday, is Cedric Jacquese Carter, who was 26 years old and resided in Ensley.
Montevallo law enforcement received a call around 9:38 p.m. on Saturday regarding a shooting in the 200 block of Graham Street. Upon their arrival, they found Carter had suffered a single gunshot wound to the head. Medical efforts were not successful, and he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The incident occurred on a street in Montevallo. Additional information regarding the shooting has not been made public, and no arrests have been announced as of yet.
