Houston authorities have confirmed that Christian Rangel was the individual involved in a severe motor vehicle collision on the city’s I-10 freeway early Friday. Police reports indicate the incident transpired shortly before 1 a.m., specifically at the Taylor Street interchange.
Emergency services responded to a significant pileup on the major thoroughfare, where a modern electric vehicle impacted the rear of a conventional sedan. Following the initial impact, the sedan suffered substantial damage and subsequently caught fire. The electric vehicle driver managed to continue for some distance before colliding with the highway’s safety barriers.
Fire and rescue personnel were dispatched to manage the blaze, successfully containing the fire and preventing further damage. Inside the damaged sedan, both occupants were pronounced deceased by arriving medical professionals. One passenger, Bianca Romero, a 22-year-old female, was also confirmed dead.
