Fatal Lakeview Park shooting death of Isaac Jason Brocco Rivera
Law enforcement personnel were dispatched to Lakeview Park North, situated on West Erie Avenue, around 6:44 p.m. on Saturday, following notification of a shooting incident.
Upon their arrival, police observed an automobile situated near the western edge of the park’s premises. Inside this vehicle, responders discovered an 18-year-old individual who was unresponsive and exhibited clear signs of having sustained a gunshot wound, specifically to the head.
Immediate life-saving protocols were implemented by the officers at the scene. Subsequently, emergency medical services personnel conveyed the injured individual to Mercy Health – Lorain Hospital.
Regrettably, medical professionals at the hospital confirmed that the young man did not survive.
Lorain City Schools officials released an official statement, identifying the deceased student as Isaac Brocco Rivera, who was a senior enrolled at Lorain Success Academy.
