The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the death on Sunday following an incident that occurred over the weekend. China was identified as the sole victim in what officials described as a tragic event stemming from a personal disagreement.

Investigators noted that the fatal shooting took place around 3:45 p.m. on Saturday at 205 Louis Circle in Rembert, according to the Sumter County Coroner’s Office. Deputies responded to the scene and discovered China’s body. The altercation, which led to the shooting, involved China and an acquaintance named Quinshaun Dais, a 38-year-old Rembert resident.
