Fatal Long Beach shooting death of Thomas Mello
Law enforcement officers were sent to the address around 1:30 a.m. Sunday regarding a shooting event in the 200 block of Falcon Avenue, just south of Broadway in the Alamitos Beach area. Upon their arrival, they discovered a man with a critical wound caused by gunfire to his upper body.
Emergency medical professionals attended to the injured individual and transported him to a medical facility. Despite their efforts, the man succumbed to his serious injuries at the hospital.
Thomas Mello, a 36-year-old male, was identified as the deceased individual. This identification was provided by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office on Wednesday.
