Fatal Franklin Park car crash death of Jordan Jerome Jeffery

A young man, Jordan Jerome Jeffery, aged 18 and from Waukegan, experienced a fatal accident on a Chicago-area highway. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office reported that his death resulted from injuries caused by a motorcycle collision on Interstate 294.

This terrifying incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday on the expressway west of Wolfe Road in Franklin Park. According to police, two vehicles were moving slowly because of heavy traffic. State police stated that a Kawasaki motorcycle lost control while maneuvering between lanes and collided from behind with a Mercedes Sprinter. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown into the air and landed in the road, where he was subsequently struck by a truck-tractor.

Jeffery was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. The official ruling on his death by the medical examiner was an accident.

Loved ones described Jeffery in an obituary as having “a fearless spirit and a passion for living life to the fullest.” They also noted his positive nature, saying he “lit up every room he entered” with a bright smile and positive energy, making people feel seen and valued.

Jeffery would have turned 19 in December. A visitation was set for Saturday at The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home in Waukegan.
