Early in the morning hours, authorities reported receiving a disturbance call near the intersection of Westport Road and Mill Street. Responding officers located an injured individual in the vicinity of what appeared to be a parking area associated with a restaurant, though the specific establishment was not identified.
The injured person was transported to a medical facility, but unfortunately, medical professionals were unable to save his life. Jorden Wynn, who was 23 years old and identified as African American, was confirmed as the victim.
Investigators suspect that a brief encounter with one or more unknown individuals resulted in gunfire being directed towards Mr. Wynn. At this time, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind this violent incident remains under examination.
