Police authorities in Kennewick have confirmed the identity of the individual killed in the recent traffic incident. The fatality occurred in a residential region close to Highway 395 on Thursday.
According to Kennewick Police Department information, emergency personnel including responders and firefighters were dispatched to the vicinity of west 35th Court and Canyon Lakes Drive. They were called following a crash report received at 3:39 p.m. on October 23. Upon arrival, responders discovered that a southbound vehicle had departed the roadway and subsequently crashed into a nearby golf course. Kennewick Police Department stated that the vehicle then ignited in the crash, although emergency responders managed to extinguish the flames before the fire could spread.
The Kennewick Police Department identified the deceased driver as Bradley Butherus Sr., a seventy-year-old resident of Richland. Police confirmed that no other vehicles or individuals were involved in the accident. An official investigation into the crash is currently underway, and authorities have not yet determined the precise reason why Butherus lost control of his vehicle. The incident resulted in the closure of Canyon Lakes Drive in the Kennewick area near Highway 395.
