Florida Highway Patrol officers identified the truck operator killed in a significant accident on I-75. The fatal event happened on October 19th. The individual, Charles Williams, was 66 years old and resided in Georgia. He worked for Boatright Trucking in Alma, Georgia.

According to reports from the troopers, confirmation of Williams’ identity was made possible through distinctive markings observed on his body.

The initial alert regarding the crash came in shortly after 8 p.m. on October 19th. This notification was received by the FHP for an incident occurring on southbound I-75. The exact location was mile marker 370, situated approximately two miles north of the County Road 318/Orange Lake interchange.

Investigators described the scene as the heavy truck traveling south in the right lane. For reasons that remain unclear, the vehicle veered from the highway and landed on the right side of the road, impacting the guardrail.

The truck then crossed over onto the grassy area alongside the highway. It collided with several trees in this area. The vehicle subsequently jackknifed, resulting in a separation between the cab and the trailer sections.
