The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office officially confirmed the identity of a man who was involved in a serious traffic accident on I-39/90 within the Town of Christiana on Tuesday. This individual, identified as Victor M. Navas Jr., was pronounced deceased at a regional medical center.
Initial findings indicate that the 34-year-old, originally from Chicago, succumbed to the severe trauma received during the collision. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, emergency services were dispatched shortly after 4:30 p.m. following reports of a one-car incident.
Law enforcement stated that the driver’s SUV, traveling southbound, deviated from its lane and collided with the central barrier. The vehicle subsequently experienced multiple rollovers before stopping on the opposing side of the highway, resulting in a temporary closure of the interstate.
