The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity of the man killed Tuesday on I-39/90 in Christiana. Victor M. Navas Jr., 34, passed away at a regional hospital.
The man from Chicago succumbed to the severe injuries he received during the collision. According to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, emergency dispatchers received a report around 4:30 p.m. concerning a single-vehicle accident.
Officials stated an SUV was traveling southbound and left the roadway. The vehicle crossed into the central separation barrier, overturning multiple times. The car ultimately stopped on the northbound lanes, forcing the closure of the interstate.
