Adrian Service and Jammie Martin died in a fatal Hartford car crash.
A second individual has passed away following a collision in Hartford on a late Sunday evening.
Police announced on Tuesday that the deceased man, identified as 25-year-old Adrian Service, was a local resident of Hartford.
Another man involved in the incident, Jammie Martin, also from Hartford, suffered serious injuries and later succumbed to his wounds.
Police held a press conference on Monday morning.
Responding officers arrived at the scene, located at 1510 Albany Ave., during the early hours of Monday.
A nearby resident named Ocean Westberry reported hearing a very loud noise.
Westberry, who lives opposite the crash location, described hearing tires screeching and a loud explosion, which sounded like it originated from inside an apartment building.
The incident occurred just before the midnight hour on Sunday.
According to investigators, Martin was thrown from the initial vehicle, which subsequently burst into flames.
Firefighters were promptly dispatched to put out the blaze.
Emergency personnel discovered Martin on the roadway. Paramedics provided a rapid trauma evaluation before transporting him to a hospital.
The driver of that first vehicle was involved in a prior traffic stop and had fled before the subsequent crash occurred.
Law enforcement officials confirmed the presence of firearms and controlled substances within the suspect’s vehicle.
Lt. Aaron Boisvert, from the Hartford police department, also stated that the operator of the vehicle was registered on a database for past deadly weapon offenses.
The driver of the second vehicle, identified as Adrian Service, became trapped and required rescue efforts. Regrettably, Service was pronounced dead at the location where the accident happened.
Detectives collected evidence at the scene throughout the morning as they continued their investigation.
The fire marshal was called in to assist with the ongoing probe.
Police officers cordoned off the area with tape and managed traffic flow to ensure safety.
