Elk Grove authorities have confirmed a fatal single vehicle accident involving a teenager, identifying the deceased as Darin Takeo Hirata who was 17 years old and lived in the city.
According to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, Hirata died on October 19th following the collision on Elk Grove Boulevard, located east of Waterfowl Drive. The official cause of death is currently under investigation.
This traffic incident remains under examination by local law enforcement, and early reports suggest neither drugs nor alcohol were contributing factors to the crash. Police stated Hirata was the only individual inside the vehicle involved in the accident. Medical examiners pronounced the teenager dead at the accident scene.
