Fatal Waukegan motorcycle crash death of Jordan Jerome Jeffery
A young man from Waukegan has been identified as the motorcyclist who died in a serious accident on a Chicago-area highway. The incident occurred on an expressway recently.
Eighteen-year-old Jordan Jerome Jeffery, from Waukegan, passed away as a result of injuries caused by a motorcycle accident on Interstate 294. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office reported these findings.
The unfortunate event took place shortly after 2:30 p.m. on the expressway, located west of Wolfe Road in Franklin Park on Thursday. According to police, two vehicles were moving slowly “because of significant traffic delays.”
State troopers stated that a Kawasaki motorcycle, attempting to navigate between lanes, lost control. It collided with a Mercedes Sprinter vehicle from behind. The driver of the motorcycle was thrown into the air and landed on the road.
He was then struck by a freightliner truck-tractor. The injured motorcyclist was transported to a regional hospital. Medical personnel later confirmed his death. The medical examiner determined the fatality was accidental.
