Officials at Lincoln University in Lower Oxford Twp., Pennsylvania, have confirmed the identity of the deceased individual involved in the tragic incident. Jujuan Jeffers, who was 25 years old and originally from Wilmington, Delaware, passed away shortly before daybreak following a gunshot wound to the head. This fatal event occurred during the homecoming celebrations on Saturday night at the university campus.

The attack resulted in six other people sustaining injuries, with all of them falling within the age range of 20 to 25. According to Chester County District Attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe, who addressed the matter in a news conference on Sunday evening, these individuals are expected to recover fully from their wounds.

During the district attorney’s press conference regarding this fatal shooting at Lincoln University, additional information was released. It was stated that one of the injured persons is currently enrolled as a student there, another is a former graduate, and the remaining victims do not have any ties to the institution.

In the ongoing investigation, law enforcement has apprehended one person connected to the incident. Zecqueous Morgan-Thompson, a native of Wilmington like the deceased, has been charged with illegally carrying a concealed weapon and is being held on a $25,000 cash bond.

At this stage, it remains unclear to the investigators whether the weapon seized from Morgan-Thompson was indeed used in the shootings that took place.
