The suspect, identified as Damontie James, was reportedly present at the scene and was taken into custody right away.

On the following day, police revealed that they had apprehended 26-year-old Damontie James, who is from Alexandria. It is reported that James is facing charges including second-degree murder and unlawful use of a weapon during the commission of a felony. These allegations are connected to the death of 29-year-old Kory Anding, which is alleged to have occurred during a disagreement involving James’s sister.
