Fatal Pottawattamie County car crash death of Til Baswa and a 2-year-old
A terrible accident on Interstate 880 in Pottawattamie County on Sunday evening resulted in two deaths, authorities reported. The deceased included Til Baswa, who was 27, and a child who was 2 years old. The Iowa State Patrol stated that the incident was caused by a car that stopped after colliding with a deer.
Approximately at 7 p.m., a motor vehicle involved in the collision halted in the middle of the roadway. Inside the vehicle was a 41-year-old driver who suffered no injuries. Baswa and the young child had exited the car at that time, but they were not safe.
A second vehicle, traveling in the opposite direction, attempted to avoid the stationary car and ended up striking the two individuals outside, leading to their fatalities. The Iowa State Patrol is currently examining the circumstances surrounding this deadly crash.
