Fatal Te Puke shooting death of Tristan Oakes.
Emergency responders were informed of a male individual, later confirmed as 29-year-old Tristan Oakes, being transported to a medical facility with severe injuries resulting from a firearm incident at his house in Te Puke on the morning of Saturday, October 25th at around 10:30 AM. Oakes unfortunately passed away in the hospital subsequent to sustaining critical trauma from the gunshot wound.
Western Bay of Plenty Area Investigations Command, led by Senior Sergeant Natalie Flowerdew-Brown, has confirmed that law enforcement is examining this homicide. Detectives have pinpointed two individuals they wish to be contacted regarding Oakes’ untimely demise. These persons are Kanan Clarke, who is 39 years old, and Joseph Yorke, aged 40. Both are described as posing a threat and should not be approached by members of the public.
