Fatal Kern County car crash death of Luis Manuel Galvez Nido
The Kern County coroner has officially confirmed the identity of the man who lost his life in a serious automobile collision that took place near Buttonwillow on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Luis Manuel Galvez Nido, a 38-year-old resident of Bakersfield.
Earlier reports from the California Highway Patrol indicated that the victim was initially thought to be a man from Delano, but this information was later corrected. Galvez Nido is actually from Bakersfield.
Investigators from the CHP stated that Nido was traveling in the eastbound direction on the westbound lanes of Highway 58, close to Bussell Road, and subsequently crossed into the opposite lane before colliding head-on with a westbound motor vehicle being operated by a woman from Arizona.
The individual involved in the fatal accident was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident, which happened at roughly 5:42 a.m. that morning.
The female driver, who was behind the wheel of the other vehicle, incurred severe injuries from the impact.
