Mark Morreall, a 69-year-old man from the town of Holley, has sadly passed away due to a serious accident in Rochester.
A fatal accident in Rochester involving a car crash resulted in the death of Mark Morreall.
The Rochester police have shared that the preliminary findings suggest this unfortunate incident was accidental and not connected to any criminal behavior.
According to Capt. Greg Bello from the Rochester Police Department, the accident took place shortly before noon on the second floor of the parking garage located at 1425 Portland Avenue.
The 2008 Ford Ranger that Mark Morreall was driving crashed into several parked cars, which were empty at the time, and subsequently began to burn.
Rochester firefighters arrived quickly to put out the fire.
When they reached the car, they found Mark Morreall inside.
Regrettably, he was pronounced dead on the scene.
The official report adds that there were no other injuries reported in connection with this event.
In total, nine vehicles suffered some degree of damage from the collision and the resulting fire.
Hospital representatives confirmed that the flames were contained effectively and did not spread to the hospital building.
Rochester General continued to operate normally, with plans to redirect patients and visitors to different parking locations.
