The fatal car crash death of Rafael Orosco

A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle early Thursday morning on the Harbor (110) Freeway, located in South Los Angeles. According to the California Highway Patrol, this deadly collision happened at 5:53 a.m. on the northbound side of the freeway, specifically at the intersection with Manchester Avenue.

Officials from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office were called to the scene to collect the body. Meanwhile, Caltrans staff arrived to manage the situation and assist with clearing the wreckage from the road.

Identified by authorities as the deceased individual, Rafael Orosco was 38 years old. Following the incident, three lanes of the freeway were closed off. Emergency services dispatched a SigAlert unit to the location.

This unfortunate accident caused significant traffic congestion. Vehicles traveling in both directions along the freeway faced delays; drivers on the southbound side were forced to slow down considerably as they approached the crash site.
