Officials from the Plano Police Department have confirmed the identification of a 25-year-old individual who was killed in a traffic mishap that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The collision occurred roughly at 9:30 p.m. at the busy intersection of 14th Street and Los Rios Boulevard, resulting in a significant accident involving a white pickup truck.
According to preliminary reports from law enforcement, the driver attempted a sharp left turn while traveling southbound on La Paz Drive, but due to excessive speed, they lost vehicle control.
This loss of control led to an abrupt overcorrection, causing the pickup to strike a substantial power pole. The passenger side of the vehicle suffered extensive damage, which was evident at the scene.
The individual occupying the passenger seat has been identified as Alex Rangle, a local resident of Plano.
Regrettably, the driver sustained injuries from the impact and was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. While medical personnel are assessing the situation, the full extent of the driver’s condition is still unknown. Additionally, the driver’s personal information has not been disclosed to the public.
