Paramedics were dispatched to Meadowview Apartments shortly after 1 a.m. on Sunday, November 2nd after receiving reports from police about gunfire. Upon arrival, they found a man wounded by a gunshot to the chest. Despite immediate medical attention provided on the scene by both emergency responders and hospital personnel, the man was confirmed deceased.
Hibbing Police confirmed the victim is local resident Parker Charles Johnson, aged 24. This location marks the spot where the fatal shooting occurred. Law enforcement officials are currently identifying the individual they took into custody regarding the investigation. They have stated that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no threat to the general public.
The investigation received support from several agencies including the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, the Chisholm Police Department, and the Hibbing Fire Department.
