Fatal Buffalo Township car crash deaths of Bonnie Grove and Douglas Frosch
Local officials have confirmed the identities of the two individuals killed in an intersection collision in Buffalo Township on Saturday. According to reports, Bonnie Grove, aged 78, passed away immediately at the scene where the accident took place, located at the junction of South Pike (Route 356) and Younkins roads. A few hours later, Douglas Frosch, who was 72 years old, succumbed to his injuries after being transported by air ambulance to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Both individuals were residents of Butler County.
Buffalo Township Police officials have stated that the accident involved a car colliding with two sport utility vehicles. Descriptions from law enforcement indicate that one of the SUVs was stationary on South Pike Road, intending to execute a left turn onto Younkins Road. The second SUV, also moving south on South Pike Road, failed to spot the stopped vehicle and subsequently lost control, veering into the oncoming car that was occupied by Grove and Frosch, who were heading northbound.
Injuries resulting from the incident included a female driver of one of the involved SUVs. This individual was transported to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh by ambulance, and the severity of her condition remains under medical assessment. Additionally, the other occupant of the second SUV, another woman, sustained some minor distress but was reported to be free from injuries by police officials.
