Fatal Bethlehem car crash death of Claudia Hargis-Grover
State troopers confirmed the fatality following a serious pileup that involved three vehicles on a New York highway. A woman in her sixth decade, whose home was in a nearby city, did not survive the incident that occurred during the late afternoon hours of a recent Saturday.
The collision transpired close to a major exit on the roadway. Initial findings suggested one motorist was exceeding the speed limit and mistakenly shifted into the incorrect lane. This caused a chain reaction of impacts.
A full-size truck was struck from behind initially. The car that made contact then lost control and collided with another sedan, which subsequently crashed into protective barriers. The identity of the fatality was officially shared with local law enforcement.
Another person who was inside the third car received medical attention but was expected to make a complete recovery. The truck’s operators also received injuries, though they were not considered to be in critical condition.
Officials investigating the scene reported that the driver whose actions started the accident was capable in standardized tests and had no detectable alcohol in their system. This individual was transported to a medical center for further checks and faced multiple citations related to traffic regulations.
