Fatal Ekron shooting death of Mary Case
Kentucky State Police (KSP) are urging the public to assist in locating a man accused in a deadly shooting incident within Meade County.
The Meade County Sheriff’s Office dispatched units to Simpson Lane in the Ekron area approximately eleven minutes past eleven on Monday morning.
Upon arrival, responding officers discovered a female body inside a residence, the apparent victim of a bullet wound.
This individual has been confirmed as Mary Case, aged fifty-five.
KSP has identified the accused person as Scott Hornback, who is forty-five years old and resides in Irvington.
It has been reported that Hornback departed the scene prior to the arrival of law enforcement personnel and was still at large.
Later, around the eleventh hour, KSP announced that they located Hornback deceased, with the cause of death attributed to a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
