The coroner has announced that the deceased driver was Michael Wayne Seawright, aged 68, who resided in Clinton. Details from the accident scene indicate the vehicle, a Dodge sedan, departed the roadway on the right side, landed in a drainage ditch, and then impacted a tree. Paramedics arrived at the scene but were unable to save Mr. Seawright, who succumbed to his injuries immediately. The preliminary investigation suggests this was not a suspicious event.
