Fatal Carlsbad shooting death of Sarah Miller and another
Law enforcement officials in the southern region of Minnesota are providing information regarding the deaths of two individuals who were shot on Sunday morning in the town of Hanska. According to the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, a 32-year-old woman named Tabitha Trescott from New Ulm and a 50-year-old man named Justin Reinarts from Hanska were shot directly in the head by a suspect, Randy Zimmerman, who is 45 years old and resides in Courtland. Following the incident, Zimmerman managed to escape the area but was eventually apprehended after a pursuit involving police vehicles in a different county to the southeast, located in Iowa. It is reported that Trescott’s son contacted emergency services by dialing 9-1-1, stating that his mother’s previous romantic partner had forcibly entered their residence and committed the shootings. Zimmerman recently appeared in a court session in Iowa and is currently being prosecuted for charges of second-degree murder in the state of Minnesota. Reinarts was identified as a member of the Hanska local fire department before his passing.
