The Port St. Lucie Police Department confirmed the identification of the man killed while using an electric scooter on Halloween, identifying him as 49-year-old Victor Santiago. According to the police, Santiago was crossing SE Crosstown Parkway around 5:45 a.m. when he was hit by a 2021 Mercedes. The impact from the collision reportedly ejected Santiago from his scooter. Emergency services were notified, transporting him to St. Lucie Medical Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Santiago was operating his electric scooter as he crossed SE Crosstown Parkway shortly after midnight on Halloween morning. A driver of a 2021 Mercedes involved in the collision remained present at the scene following the incident. Hospital transfer procedures were initiated after the collision, but the victim ultimately passed away at St. Lucie Medical Center.

The Port St. Lucie Police Department is currently examining the circumstances surrounding this fatal intersection crash. They are seeking public assistance to identify potential witnesses.
