Investigators from the Homicide Unit are examining the circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting that occurred on November 3, 2025.
At approximately 3:15 p.m., law enforcement personnel were dispatched to Prange and Genevieve Avenues following reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a 39-year-old male victim lying on the street, suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. Medical examiners confirmed that he had passed away at the scene. Javon Carter, a resident of St. Louis City, was identified as the deceased.
